Suggested Nanny Pay Ranges
The ranges below reflect typical childcare rates within the Delaware area and are provided as a general guide for families.
Because every role is unique, nannies set and negotiate their own rates based on their experience, skill set, and job expectations.
General Childcare (Delaware-Aligned)
1–3 years experience (Essential) — $18–$22/hr
4–8 years experience (Standard) — $22–$28/hr
8+ years experience (Premium) — $28–$35/hr
Infant & Newborn Care (Delaware-Aligned)
Infant experience (2–4 years) — $20–$26/hr
Advanced Infant experience (5–10 years) — $24–$30/hr
Newborn Care Specialist experience/certification — $28–$40/hr
